In coming up with its formulas, Univera may have had marketing in mind every bit as much as it did nutritional science.
By creating products that combine well-known ingredients with those that have less name recognition, Univera has done a good job of presenting a product line designed to intrigue mainstream users as well as make them more comfortable trying something new.
What You’ll Spend on Univera’s Products
As far as pricing goes, though, Univera is definitely up there, particularly when compared to what you can find in your local health food store.
For example, 30 1-oz servings of one of Univera’s signature products, the Xtra Concentrate, costs $53.50. Given that the company recommends that you take up to two servings a day, it’s easy to see that Xtra could be a fairly expensive habit to get into.
Other prices range from a $13 aloe vera spray to $38.95 for a bottle of vitamins. Univera’s online shopping catalog also seems geared for bulk purchases, with cartons of 4 to 36 packs of product readily available.
While their products are definitely on the high end, you could say that that is the price for all the science Univera does – the company has filed or been granted seven patents.
What Do Univera Associates Earn?
So how much of this money do you get paid if you decide to become a Univera associate?
The answer to that question is relatively murky. The company is pretty straightforward about its retail commissions – 10% of “preferred price” or 20% of “retail price,” however those terms aren’t explained on the Compensation Plan Quick Reference chart that was readily available online.
Recruitment levels and sales levels seem to be the way to make the most money with Univera, at least so far as can be determined by the Quick Reference chart. There are seven levels of pay: retail commissions, unilevel pay, generation pay, a car allowance called Xcelerate Your Drive, a Blue Diamond Pool, incentives and tips, and a promotion pay cash bonus of $100.
Again, from the information that’s readily available, it’s hard to tell what these different levels actually mean in specific terms. Probably, an old MLM hand will have little trouble figuring the chart out, but the chart alone would be a definite headache for someone brand new to network marketing.
One thing that’s certain is that Univera plans to grow – the company bought Canada’s largest privately held network marketing company, Matol, in 2009. As of the writing of this article, it’s hard to tell just how many of Matol’s products have made it into the Univera catalog, but Matol’s distributors must certainly have given the company a boost.
So are Univera’s products right for you? Is the opportunity one you should pursue?
Well, as with all supplement companies and their formulas, whether or not Univera has the right products for you will depend on your body’s specific needs and your budget.
As for becoming a Univera associate, if you come to believe in the product and you’re proficient at one-on-one and Internet marketing, Univera could well be a good bet for you. Just be sure to get details on the company’s compensation plan!
