I’ve been a Scentsy consultant for two years, and I absolutely love this product! Scentsy lets me make new friends, have an excuse to hang out with my current friends – and I get to make good money while I’m doing it!

My friends love Scentsy because the product is such a good idea. They can get the same kind of wonderful scents you have with candles without having to worry about cleaning anything up. And because Scentsy warmers are so safe, even my friends with kids and small pets love to use them. Personally, I have 3 dogs (including 2 puppies), and I’ve never once had a problem—and believe me, the Scentsy warmers are in practically every room in my house.

One of the best things about working with Scentsy is that I love the company’s values. Scentsy supports charities, and they’re absolutely committed to making sure that every single Scentsy representative is successful – no other company in this business is as good to their consultants as Scentsy!

Now that I’ve got you interested in my favorite product – or even if you’re already a Scentsy consultant and you know exactly what I’m talking about – I want to give you my secrets for becoming a top earner with Scentsy.

· The Party in a Basket is pure genius. It includes everything you need to create an impromptu Scentsy party, wherever you happen to be. I always have one with me. That way, anytime I’m out visiting friends, I’m ready with a live demonstration if Scentsy comes up – and it usually does! I make at least 25% of my sales with the Party in a Basket.

· When throwing a party at home, you’re obviously going to want to let the guests smell different Scentsy waxes. But don’t overload them, or pretty soon everything will start to smell the same. Give the guests a break in between scents while you talk about the cool warmer designs.

· A great way to sell Scentsy to your guests is to describe the ways you personally use different scents. Be really descriptive here. Tell how your favorite Saturday ritual is to stay in bed all morning in your PJs reading with the cozy scent of Pima Cotton in the background, or how you always use Mad About Mint when you need a refreshing pick-me-up at the end of the work day. Let people know how many ways there are to enjoy Scentsy products.

· Don’t forget – the holidays are a great time for Scentsy sales! You want to start contacting your existing customers in September or October for holiday sales, and do a second or even a third party in the run up to Christmas. People will need holiday-themed warmers and the special holiday-themed scents. Your customers will appreciate your thoughtfulness in making this part of their decorating easier on them. Not to mention their gift giving – a Scentsy gift pleases everyone from grandma to co-workers. My monthly sales easily double or triple during the holiday season.

· When the party’s over, it’s time to write and send your own thank you notes to the guests who came. If you weren’t able to get mailing addresses for a few of the guests, just give the notes to your hostess to mail – but don’t forget the postage. Be sure to include a business card and spritz with a Scentsy room spray!

My top tip, though, is to use these products yourself. Think of what happens when you’re in a restaurant where you server recommends a dessert because it’s their favorite. How often do you try that one? Fifty percent, maybe 75 percent of the time? The same thing applies when you’re selling Scentsy. Your enthusiasm will come through to your guests, because it will be genuine. And what could be better? Now you have another excuse to buy more Scentsy for yourself… after all, it’s a business expense!
