Univera Health Benefits: Pros & Cons

Reading the labels for Univera products shows that mot of the ingredients the company is using in its products are definitely beneficial for people’s health.

Univera’s signature product, Xtra, is a good example. The company claims that Xtra “Promotes Vital Energy, Supports Mental Clarity and Focus, Helps Manage Stress, and Promotes Joint Comfort and Flexibility.”

Looking at the ingredients, we find healthy doses of vitamins B3 and B6, green tea extract, fruit concentrate, aloe vera, and ginkgo biloba.
Other Xtra ingredients are less well known, among them Ashwagandha extract and something called OKG (ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate).

Going to Google, we find that Ashwagandha extract is marketed by itself as a remedy for insomnia and as an adaptogen that proponents claim will help people’s bodies deal with the effects of stress. Ornithine alpha-ketoglutarate is a manufactured combination of two amino acids which may help build muscle.

Given that Xtra is marketed as a product to “renew and restore” the body’s cells, it seems that the chosen ingredients may just be ready made to make that happen.

Univera Anti-Aging product, Prime C, Doesn’t Have vitamin C At All.

Instead the company has loaded this supplement with vitamin B6, common supplement ingredients like aloe vera and black pepper extract, and other not-so-commonly known ingredients including DIM (diindoylmethane) and chrysin.

In fact, several Univera products seem to combine very well-known ingredients with others that are an invitation to a Google search.
And a Google search is just what you should do before investing in Univera products. This reviewer hasn’t found any evidence that Univera’s products are harmful in any way, and the more commonly known ingredients are recognized to have definite health benefits.

However, it seems reasonable to look up any supplement ingredients you’re not familiar with to find out if those ingredients are right for you.
This isn’t just a matter of making sure that the contents of the supplements you take are good for you. It’s also important to verify whether or not those contents might react negatively with any medication or other supplements you are already taking.

For example, Univera’s multivitamin product contains both copper and zinc. However, the Mayo Clinic recommends taking copper 2 hours after supplementing with zinc in order to get the best effects of both.

Medical Doctors Recommendation

Granted, there are a lot of very qualified people who do not agree on vitamin and other health supplements. You will get a different view from different medical doctors as well as different viewpoints from proponents of natural or alternative health care.

This means that it’s up to you to find sources you feel you can trust for this very important information and to rely on those sources when you run into a supplement company offers formulas that are new to you.

Univera’s products are probable highly beneficial for at least some, and likely most people. But health supplements aren’t a “one size fits all” product. It’s up to you and your health care practitioner to determine exactly what your body needs to achieve perfect health.
